Our Cats At Home

Our cats at home – otherwise known as ‘the posse’.

We’ve had cats all our lives. I’ve been prone to ‘rescuing’ cats since the days I put a farm kitten in a bag to cycle home with it hooked over my bike’s handlebars.

Until 2008 all my cats were moggies. All ‘walk ins’ or strays. But just three months after moving into my new flat in Edinburgh a mainecoon started visiting. Thankfully he’s not a stray, but it did remind me that I’d always wanted a coonie.

Wanting a pedigree cat doesn’t rest that easily with me. You know the mantra: don’t buy or breed while rescue cats die. However I do believe it’s possible to ‘balance the books’ .

Which brings me to the current crew: ages range from 6months to 18 years or thereabouts.
